HOW TO INSTALL CERAMIC
TILE FLOORS This
tape shows installing an 8x8 inch floor tile over an existing
surface of sheet vinyl flooring in a kitchen area. Many
of the older vinyl floors have asbestos fibers in them
and are dangerous to your health if special procedures
are not followed carefully when removing the vinyl. We
recommend you install your tile over the existing vinyl.
The setting materials we are using in these videos allow
you to set your tile over many types of surfaces. Wood,
vinyl, even old ceramic tile can be tiled over using these
procedures. In addition to proper tool demonstration, there
is also a section on getting the mortar to its proper consistency
and using the proper notch trowel to apply the mortar.
Finally, mixing and applying the grout is demonstrated
step by step.
