HOW TO TILE COUNTERS
Like all the Lamb Home Videos, a complete explanation of all
the tools you will be using is properly demonstrated. With
the use of a model counter top, the different layout procedures
are shown. We show how to layout an island or single counter
top. A demonstration of how to install tile over a wooden counter
top is included and all special instructions are are discussed
in full detail. Addressing the use of special types of adhesives
and grouts is also explained. We show how to install a concrete
backer board for an under layment which gives the tile a superior
surface to adhere to. Once the backer board is installed, the
tile will be set on the counter top and the full backsplash
is set using an organic master. When this is completed, the
instructor will show tiling over tile on an outside bar top.
Finally, the grout is mixed and sprad into the tile joints
using the grout float. The final clean up is demonstrated with
a damp sponge and the final dusting. |
